MTTR
Mean Time To Repair
How long it takes on average to clear a breakdown, from the stop to the restart.
Formula
MTTR = Total repair time ÷ Number of breakdowns
MTTR measures the response: time to arrive, diagnose, get parts, and the repair itself. A short MTBF with a short MTTR hurts less than rare breakdowns that last a whole shift.
What it looks like in the system
Breakdown time is measured by the system, not by a note written afterwards. You also see how much of it was waiting.
